Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities
The Deaprtment
The department comprises sections of Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Humanities. The department offers core courses in Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry & Humanities (Management, Engineering Economics, Organizational Behavior and Personnel Management) to all undergraduate students. Physics, Chemistry & Environmental Engineering are also taught to students of 1st B.Tech.
In addition several courses in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics e.g. courses on Numerical Analysis, Discrete Structures are given to select branches of undergraduate engineering according to the prescribed curriculum of Rajasthan Technical University, Kota.
Applied Chemistry
This subpart is providing a basic knowledge of applied chemistry & Environment Engg. To all branches of 1st B.Tech. The department has well equipped labs for B.Tech. Students where experiments are designed to broaden experimental skills related to various testing & titration of chemicals such as flash & fire point, viscosity,cloud & pore point etc.
Applied Physics
Applied Physics is providing a sound science base for all engineering disciplines in their I and II semester. The courses are designed to serve the need for a particular branch of engineering. The department has well equipped labs for B.Tech. students where experiments are designed to broaden experimental skill related to various branches of engineering and technology.
Applied Mathematics
Applied Mathematics offers courses to undergraduate and post-graduate students of various engineering disciplines. The syllabi have been designed in the areas of Applied Mathematics, Computational Techniques and Statistical testing to impart the sound knowledge of the various mathematical tools used and their applications in the engineering disciplines.
Humanities
Humanities imparts instructions to UG students of the various engineering disciplines and caters to their needs in the areas of English and other foreign languages, economics, technical communication, technical report writing, industrial organization and managerial economics.
