The Government Engineering College Jhalawar stands in high feather for being the first Engineering College of the Government of Rajasthan among 6 districts selected under ‘Rural Employment Guarantee’ programme by the Government of India-HRD Scheme. The first session 2007-08 of B.Tech. four year degree course was started with Four (4) branches. Two new brachches are introduced in the session 2009-10. The initial intake is 60 students in each branch. The names of branches and number of students is given in the following table :-

Government Engineering college Jhalawar offers 2 years full time Post Graduate Programme leading to the degree of MBA (Master of Business Administration) approved by AICTE and affiliated with Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. (RTU).

This is a Two Year full time programme, spread over four semesters and leading to the degree in Master of Business Administration.The most notable features of the programme are its flexibility and objectives of providing a genuinely broad based education. Students are given an opportunity to improve their communication skills in a well equipped, modern language lab with computers and cassettes.  Annual Seminar, guest lectures, business simulation games, personality development workshops , create all round development of students.Final year students have a variety of specializations to choose from,depending on their aptitude and preferences and have the freedom to choosefrom a large number of electives.
